He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Johnson and Dorothy Johnson (Snyder); his niece Anne Avery; and his significant other Lynda Mangene. He is survived by: his children, Gwendolyn Robertson (Johnson), Jacqueline Shumaker (Mangene) and Michael Mangene; his sister Joanne Johnson; and his sibling's children, Kia Avery and Robert Avery. He is also survived by family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Elk Rapids Bible Church (400 E 3rd St, Elk Rapids, MI 49629).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Michigan Outdoor Wishmakers, a nonprofit organization that helps children, adults, and veterans with life-limiting disabilities participate in outdoor activities and hunting experiences.
