He was predeceased by: his parents, James Berry and Mary Berry (Hawkins); his son Jay Alan Berry; his sisters, Dorothy Batchelor and Virginia Rogers; and his brother-in-law Dale Post.
He is survived by: his wife Birdell Johnson; his children, Jack Jr. (Carolyn) of Rockford, Jill Packer (Dan) of Rapid City and Nancy Firlik (David) of Grand Rapids; and his siblings, Arlene Post and Donald Berry (Eunice). He is also survived by five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Jack's honor may be made to the Grass River Natural Area in Bellaire or Mt. Holiday Ski Area in Traverse City.
