He was predeceased by : his parents, John Tyers and Helen Tyers (Holub); his sister Pat; his brothers-in-law, Jack Roy and Robert Alberts; his brother Dickie Tyers; his parents-in-law, Martin and Alberta Rosel; and his brother-in-law Craig Rosel.

He is survived by : his wife Wanda Tyers; his daughter Cindy Hoagland (Garry); his grandchildren, Melissa Piper (Chad), Lisa Corlew (Adam) and Thomas Hoaglund; his son Tony Tyers (Karen); his grandsons, Bryan Tyers (Alisha) and Adam Tyers (Jessica); his son Randy Tyers (Sheilla); his grandchildren, Jake Tyers (Kayleigh), Christopher Tyers and Tabitha Wilson (Gary); his siblings, Helen Alberts and Ted Tyers (Sue); and his siblings-in-law, Alfred Rosel (Sandy), Martin Rosel (Vickie) and Deby Harrison (Merl). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
