He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Heffelfinger and Mary Heffelfinger (Chaney); his wife Karen (Hostetler); and his brother Michael Heffelfinger. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Heffelfinger (Cynthia) of Angola and Amy Cavey (Gregory) of Quincy; his grandchildren, Colton Heffelfinger, Kirsten Ferrigan, Noel Cavey and Eleanor Cavey; his great grandchildren, Adeline Robertson, Alani Cavey and Aven Cavey; his siblings, Sue Bowman (Mike) of Bryan, Ohio and John Heffelfinger (Rebecca) of Bryan, Ohio; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Heffelfinger.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Reading United Methodist Church (312 Michigan St, Reading, MI 49274). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Hillsdale County.
