He was predeceased by: his father Balys; and his brothers, Kęstutis and Mindaugas. He is survived by: his nephews, Mykolas, Peter, Tadas, Andrew and Alexander. He is also survived by his sixteen great-nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great-nephews.

Gediminas is also known for his generosity and charity.
