He was predeceased by : his friend Carlyn Grove; his parents, Raymond Hartwell and Sally Hartwell; and his sister Pam Hartwell. He is survived by : his son Adam; his daughter-in-law Pricilla; and his grandchildren, Landon and Alana. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethel Church (501 W Lincoln Ave, Reed City, MI 49677). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
