He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Berg and Leila Berg (Lefke); and his brothers, Lanny Berg and Richard Berg. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Berg (Gifford) of Stanwood; his brother Brian Berg; his sons, Brad Berg (Tina) and Scott Berg (Judy); his grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua Berg and Megan Berg; his stepchildren, Renee DeMarco (Terry) and Roland Gifford (Suzanne); his grandchildren, Nicole Wiseman (Daniel), Tony DeMarco, Ryan Gifford and Michael Gifford; and his great grandchild Ida Ruth Wiseman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gary's memory to New Hope Global Methodist Church or to Hospice of Michigan, 400 Perry Avenue, Big Rapids, MI 49307.
