He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Doerr and Edna Doerr (Karcher); his wife Connie Ann Smith; his son Kevin Doerr; and his siblings, Vincent, Marvin, Keith, Avis, Andy, Teresa, Rita, Paul, Ruth, John and Daniel.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Doerr (Mary Jo), Terry Doerr (Julie) and Brian "BJ" Doerr; his grandchildren, David Doerr (Yolanda), Heather Carrigan (Wayne), Lowell Knapp (Amber), Andrew Doerr (Alexa) and Celia Hollenbeck (Austin); and his great grandchildren, Abigail, Ethan, Hudson, Henry, Violet, Luca, Chloe and Logan. He is also survived by many extended family members, dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Michael School Foundation or Heartland Hospice - Fremont in Vern's memory.
