Stephen R. Potts Obituary
Stephen (Steve Postie) Robert Potts, 70, of Rhodes, Michigan, (formally of Clarkston, Michigan) died at his home on June 27, 2025. He was ill and battling cancer.
Steve was born on February 26, 1955. He was adopted at birth to Mr. & Mrs. John Robert and Eula O. Potts (Booth).
Steve married his high school sweetheart, Karen Jo Potts (Crass), on November 11, 1975, at the Andersonville Baptist Church in Davisburg, Michigan. He was a long-haul trucker for most of his life. But his true passion was his second job, a Gunsmith. Where he could etch intricate design in the butt of any gun then bluing the metal into a finished product.
He is survived by wife, Karen Potts, 69, (Crass), and their two daughters, eldest, Carman Miller, 48, (Potts) husband, Jamie (Jim) Miller and their two boys, Jordan Miller (24) & Aidan Miller (18). As well as 3 other surviving sister-in- laws.
Youngest daughter, Kristin Rivera, 44, (Potts) & husband, Salvador (Sal) Rivera and their 5 kids. Ethan Hayduk (25), Madisen Rivera (18), Riley Rivera (8), step- children, Aleah Rivera (29), Devon Avis (24).
Also, survived by his sister, Tamara (Tammi) Barbrey (Potts) and his youngest brother David (John) Potts both residing in Michigan as well.
Stephen's last wish was to be cremated, and the family has decided against any funeral or memorial services at this time as they mourn. You may reach out to Ethan, their grandson, with any regrets or regards to the family. The family appreciates your well wishes but ask that you respect their privacy.
