He is survived by: his wife Eva Morris; his children, Tina McGovern and John McGovern Jr.; his grandchildren, Derrick, Travis Kilbourne, Charlotte McGovern, Austin, Audrey, Pippin and Oryn; his stepson Doug Van Orman; and his siblings, Pat, Clayton McGovern, Pam Kitchen and Kathy P..
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fort Custer National Cemetery (15501 W Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012).
