He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Kalkowski and Gertrude Kalkowski (Sobieszezyk); his brother Jim Kalkowski; his son Kalvin Kalkowski; his son-in-law Steve Meninga; his sister Donna Jean (Don Vanderheiden); and his brother-in-law Jerry Bruns.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Anthony; his children, Chris Kalkowski (Debra) of Battle Creek, Kim Meninga of Plainwell and Steve Kalkowski (Michelle) of Queen Creek, AZ; his sisters, Mary Ellen Bruns of Great Island and Margaret Hierlmeier (Jim) of St. Ankeny, Iowa; and his sister-in-law Jo Ann Kalkowski of Kearney. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
