He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Gebauer; his sons, Derek and Curtis; his parents, Marvin Yaek and Lisbeth Yaek; and his siblings, Louanne Plonka (Donald), Michelle Genereaux (Matthew), Renee Ryan (Jeffrey), Jeffrey Yaek (Heidi), Janet Schultz (Andrew), Phillip Yaek (Rachelle), Jeremy Yaek (Kristin Wagner), Lorraine Pardon (Lee), Phil Gebauer (Ann), Chris Gebauer (Nancy), Wendy Fuerstenau (Jim), Shelley Barry (Jerry), Alicia Brown (David) and Veronica Freeman (Scott). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grace Memorial-Kaatz Chapel (71235 Memphis Ridge Rd, Richmond, MI 48062). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Catholic Church.
