He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Chester and Anna Chester (Williams); and his brothers, Raymond Chester, William Chester and Michael "Mickey" Chester.

He is survived by : his son Don Chester (Lori); his grandchildren, Nathan and Kate Chester; and his siblings, Linda DiCarlo (Mike), Jerry Chester (Joan) and Mary Kay Cora.
