She was predeceased by : her sister Angela Sims; and her parents, Giovanni Porcari and Bruna Porcari. She is survived by : her sister Anna Haunert (Thomas); her nieces and nephews, Christine Dalton (Daniel), Thomas Haunert Jr. (Maria), Joseph Haunert, Teresa Daniels (Cameron), Alicia Sims and Katie Sims; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Declan, Dante, Dominic, Marina, Joseph and Giovanna; and her brother-in-law Michael Sims.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Molnar Funeral Homes - Nixon Chapel (2544 Biddle Ave, Wyandotte, MI 48192). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (135 Superior Blvd, Wyandotte, MI 48192). A Mass was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
