He is survived by: his parents, James Buckert and Sharron Buckert (McKeel); his wife Anne Buckert (Bollwinkle); his daughters, Samantha Thompson (Samuel) and Jacquelyn Buckert; his granddaughters, Ellie and Charlie Thompson; his siblings, James Buckert (Pat), Linda Hazelhoff (Dale), Brenda Brown, Jeff Buckert (Jan) and Lark Nieboer (Allan); and his friend Gene Mortensen. He is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made in John's honor to Bradley University Engineering Department in the care of Anne Buckert for a future endowment.
