James R. Barnett lit a candle

“Max and I best knew one another as members of the Lancaster, MO - BSA Troop 422; Scouting's "Order of the Arrow" honor fraternity & recipients of the BSA "God and Country" award through our local church ministries. After losing contact with him, brother Dale, and parents in post college days —it is with great fondness I recall our 1965 summer road trip (in his red Triumph TR3) to see brother Dale at Tinker USAF base in Oklahoma City, OK. Truly, "those were the days my friend."”

Etienne (h3) wrote a sympathy message

“Diane, Rob, Cindy and grandchildren, I know your hearts are broken. Mine is too. Max has been my friend since 1952. For nearly 20 years we were inseparable. I can't imagine the world without him. When you set a date for a service in Missouri, please let me know. I would like to speak to those in attendance about my friendship with Max. I treasure the memories of our years together. Know that Max is resting in peace. Sending virtual hugs to all of you. Randall”
