Oded Izraeli Obituary
A resident of Rochester Hills, Michigan, died on June 6th, 2023 at the age of 82. Funeral services arranged by The Dorfman Chapel.

During his military service, he met his beloved wife of 57 years, Elana Izraeli.
Soon after the wedding, their endless curiosity and dedication to education brought them to the United States. Oded earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago, before moving to Rochester and teaching at Oakland University, where Elana would earn her PhD.
In 2017, he retired to spend more time with his prized grandkids and continue traveling the world with his wife – visiting countless countries across four continents.
Oded – known by many for his unrivaled love of cheesecake, salmon, and orange juice – kept seemingly innumerable friends from the various eras of his life. He had an incredible ability to maintain those connections across great distance and time.
He is survived by his wife, Elana; sister, Routi Izraeli; daughter, Irit Walters; sons, Tal (Erica) Izraeli and Gil (Lisa) Izraeli; grandchildren, Alex Walters, Maya Walters, Zach Izraeli, Brooke Izraeli, Eddie Izraeli, Leo Izraeli, and Jake Izraeli; niece, Talia Zakhyem; and, many other beloved family members and dear friends.
