Augustin Fosu wrote a sympathy message

“I spent nearly twenty years on Oakland University's faculty. Oded was a colleague who was also my friend. He and I interacted often; it was always a pleasure. Our two families also spent great times together. We stayed in touch for quite a while even after I left Oakland in May 1998. It is difficult to accept the news that he is gone. My wife, Helen, and I send our deepest condolences to Elana and the family. May Oded's soul rest in perfect peace. Augustin Fosu (Ghana)”
