He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Waldron and Gladys Waldron (Campbell); and his spouse Reathel Kloosterman. He is survived by: his children, Melody N. Waldron (Robert Vrandecic), Brent A. Waldron (Cathy) and Judd M. Waldron (Janeen). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in memory of Austin may be given to the Rockford United Methodist Church.
