She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Rose Ann Taylor (Whalen); her husband Keith Ellison; and her siblings, Betty Spencer and Johnny Taylor.
She is survived by: her sons, Rex (Catherine Ellison) and Steve (Trish Ellison); her grandchildren, Ryan Ellison, Sarah (Michael Williams), Anna Ellison and James Ellison; her great grandchild Demi Williams; her sisters, Mary Jaques, Theresa (Ken Robbins), Pam Allen and Pat (Roger Rehkopf); and her siblings-in-law, Gerald, Emma Ellison and Carole Littlefield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers or memorials, Barbara Ann's family asks that everyone find that kind soul inside themselves and make a positive difference for their remaining days here on earth at every opportunity.
