We bid farewell to Elizabeth F. Addington of Rockford, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 5, 2025 at the age of 70. Elizabeth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the sacred silence of farewell, Elizabeth is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Elizabeth's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emery Freeman and Ruth Freeman; and her sister Judy Popiel (Ernie). She is survived by: her husband Jack Addington; her children, Christopher (Lindsay), Tyler (Jenna) and Lindsey (Paul); and her siblings, Patricia (Leonard) and Emery (Kim). She is also survived by her six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service (4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to the Corewell Health Foundation West Michigan (https://give.corewellhealth.org), supporting cancer care programs at Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, where Liz received compassionate care during her illness.
