He is survived by: his wife Ruth Nelson (Kyle); his children, Jason Nelson (Kathryne) of Lake Bluff, IL and Jennifer Rabb (Brendan) of Lowell, MI; his grandchildren, Caleb, Felicity, Ethan Nelson, Amelia, Hannah, Caroline and Lucy Rabb; his siblings, Marilyn Nelson and Frank Nelson; and his sister-in-law RuthAnn Spira.
