He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Terri LaVoy; his children, Hayley Swain (Jack), Danielle Skinner (Charlie) and Travis Williams; his grandchildren, Isabelle Skinner, Cooper Skinner and Kayden Swain; his siblings, Christine Wilds (Tim), Mickey LaVoy (Bonnie), Frank LaVoy (Gerry) and Pete LaVoy (Sue); and his parents, Rosemary LaVoy and Robert LaVoy.

Beginning this fall we shall remember John at our Annual Mass for Deceased Alumni, Faculty, and Staff celebrated in our school chapel on the Sunday nearest November 1, All Saints' Day. Family and alumni will be invited to pray with us at the Mass.”
