He was predeceased by: his mother Doris Squires (Johnson); his wife Eleanor Squires; and his father Lyle E. Squires. He is survived by: his children, Chuck Squires (Jeanie), Karen Squires (Lee Story) and Kris Morales (Ralph); his grandchildren, Zach Murray (Stephanie), Sean Squires (Kristen), Jejuan Murray, Sarah Diegel (Justin), Seth Squires (Kati) and Marisa Morales; his great grandchildren, Elaina Murray, Gavin Murray, Carter Squires, Ryder Diegel, Evelyn Squires, Blakely Diegel, Owen Squires and Aven Squires; and his close friend Jan Trapp.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rockford United Methodist Church (159 Maple St NE, Rockford, MI 49341). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
