Leone Jane Bird Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leone Jane Bird (Rockford, Michigan), who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Leone Jane is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Leone Jane's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her husband Richard L. Bird; and her grandson Richard Burgoon (Ricky). She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Edberg (Eric), Melissa Burgoon (Fred) and Marcy Perry (Virgil); her grandchildren, Nathan Perry (Crystal Wang) and Marissa Horne (Danny); and her great grandchild Mason Perry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Consolation Church in Rockford.
