In loving memory of Richard Lee Burns of Rockford, Michigan, who departed this world on April 7, 2026 at the age of 77. Richard leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Burns and Dorothy Burns (Orr); his sisters, Beverly Demorest and Barbara Lutz; and his siblings-in-law, Roger, Thomas Bauer and Mary Achtabowski.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Claire, Conner, Caitlin, Caroline, Charlotte, Clark, Harper and Kennedy; his wife Barbara Burns; his sons, Brian (Emily) and Kevin (Paige); and his sister Carolyn Anderson (Justin) of Belding. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends.

Memorial contributions in honor of Richard may be directed to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
