He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Cunningham and Lena Cunningham (Faist); and his siblings, Phyllis Hoek (Herman), Carole Stoutjesdyk (Ray), Frank Cunningham (Eleanor), Dick Cunningham (Lynda), Barb Gingerich (Richard), Bruce Cunningham and Sue Moore (Ron).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce (Stout); his children, Dianna Sevensma (Matt), Robert J. Cunningham (Jackie), Jill Ferguson (John) and Melissa Henkel (Rick); his grandchildren, Amanda Wert (Josh), Brian Sevensma (Stephanie), Chad Sevensma (Nicole), Matthew Sevensma, Jacob Sevensma (Rya), Nick Cunningham (Lisa), Sarah Myers (Dan), Zachary Cunningham, Whitney Doane (Mark), Jonathan Ferguson (Allyson), Hannah Ferguson, Emma Henkel and Sophie Henkel; and his great grandchildren, Isabella Marsh, Noah Wert, Macy Wert, Madison Sevensma, Asher Sevensma, Ethan Sevensma, Graham Sevensma, Caleb Cunningham, June Cunningham, Holden Myers, Joseph Doane and Jaydon Llamas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
