She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Thompson and Viola Thompson; her husband Raymond Johnson; and her sister Mary Miller. She is survived by: her daughters, Rhonda Kauffman (Kelvin) and Diane Penland (Marshall); her grandchildren, Kai Penland and Kadin Penland; her sister Helen Myer (Carl); and her brother-in-law Scott Miller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pederson Funeral Home (127 N Monroe St, Rockford, MI 49341). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mel Trotter Ministries or to Hope Network.
