He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Barta; his daughter Sarah Ann Barta; his grandson Devon Thamm; and his parents, Joseph Barta and Geneva Barta.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Barta (Nina), Nancy Mareski (Matthew) and Michelle Barta (Ted Thamm). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, three loving brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home (30895 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home Chapel (30895 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134).
