He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Shirley. He is survived by: his spouse Piper Coleman; his children, Frank Coleman (Tammi), Joseph Coleman (Rachel Marshall) and Megan Stuart (Stephen); his grandchildren, Cody, Ethan, Clara and Reid; and his siblings, Craig Coleman (Darlene), Brian Coleman, Christine Fritz (Randy) and Patricia Tutsock (Perry).

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to be given in his name to: Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Ballet Theatre of Ohio, or Little Kids Rock.
