He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee and Arlene Margaret Fenton (Kivell); his parents-in-law, Eddie Franklin and Lillian Coomer; and his brothers-in-law, Greg Bechtal and John Melegi.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Fenton; his children, Victoria Root (James) of LaSalle, Michigan and Bryan Fenton of Rockwood; his grandchildren, Chloe Sperr, Ava Sperr, Cooper Root and Ayden Fenton; his siblings, Karen Bechtal, Kathy Dolan (Andy), Gayle Grable (Phil) and Robert Fenton (Dawn); his siblings-in-law, Betty Kenworthy (Bob), Karen Melegi and Daniel Lovett; and his close friend Larry Inman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
