It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elda Jean Austin of Rodney, Michigan, who passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Lee Sr. and Dorothy May Austin (Mowrey); her son Dallas Russell Schuster Jr.; and her siblings, John Jensen, Freeman Austin, Wanda Thompson, Goldie Kay Austin, James Austin, Larry Austin and Paul Austin.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronald Michael Schuster of Rodney and Daniel Ray Schuster (Andrea) of Cadillac; her daughter-in-law Paula Schuster of Cadillac; her grandchildren, Joy Beard (Josh), Zakary Slocum, Pallas Schuster, Douglas Schuster (LaNia), Dustin Schuster, KayLee Schuster, Sara Trowbridge (Rocky), David Shuster (Lester) and Simon Schuster; her great grandchildren, Aaron, DNaiya, Ricardo, Rory and Jameson; her siblings, Russ Austin (Joan), Nancy Berenter (Joel), Lew Austin, Jerry Austin (Anna), Mary Austin and Laura Simerson (Everett); and her sisters-in-law, Linnie Jensen and Lynn Austin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
