He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Erickson and Marjorie Erickson; and his sisters, Kathy Whitaker and Mary Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Gwisdalla (Justin); his grandson Nathan Gwisdalla; and his sister Lori Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
