It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlin R. Schalk (Rogers City, Michigan), who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marlin R. Schalk to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, August and Hannah (Bahrke); his wife Janet Bruning; and his grandson Rick Schalk Jr.. He is survived by : his children, Cynthia Zavada (Ray) of Fenton, Rick Schalk (Sandra) of Wayne, Candace Smith (Ken) of Florida, Jack Schalk of California, Todd Schalk (Jan) of Louisiana and Carrie Schleben (Jim) of Rogers City; his sister Deloris Longpre (Ken); and his grandchildren, Scott, Matt, Mark, Amber, Jami, Jennifer, Jodi, Janae, Tonya, Emily and Shelby. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
