He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Haneckow of Harbor Springs, Chris Lenay Bumstead (Kevin) and Gregg Haneckow (Carole) of Warren, Michigan; his brother Byron Haneckow (Penny) of Klamath Falls, Oregon; his granddaughters, Caterina Palazzolo (Marco) of Gloucester and Rachele Curtis (Preston) of Warren, Michigan; and his great grandchildren, Salvatore and Luisa Palazzolo of Gloucester, Massachusetts..
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 5:45 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A prayer was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Hentkowski Funeral Home (676 S Bradley Hwy, Rogers City, MI 49779).
