As Genevieve departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Genevieve. Though Genevieve may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Stiehr and Minnie Stiehr; her husband Ernest E. Gates; her son-in-law Gerald Roberson; and her siblings, Irene and Archie.
She is survived by: her daughter Jeanette Roberson of Romeo; and her grandchildren, David Roberson (Cheryl) of Richmond and Lynda Roberson of Romeo. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Muir Funeral Home (296 S Main St, Romeo, MI 48065). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location.
Memorial Donations can be made in Gennie's name to the Spero Center (1211 Griswold Street, Port Huron, Michigan 48060).
