He was predeceased by: his wife Minnie E. Castillo; his parents, Robert Joseph Bacon and Martha Elizabeth Bacon (Cunningham); and his siblings, Betty Jane Menzies (Bacon), Archie Menzies, Barbara Ellen Lankford (Bacon), Jerry "Wayne" Lankford Sr., Gerald Gene Bacon, Frances Mary Bacon (Kress), David Lawrence Bacon, Nancy (Bacon), Martha "Martie" Kay Cunningham (Bacon) and William Thomas Cunningham.
He is survived by: his children, Cherrie Nicole Tebeau (Bacon) and Robert Russell Bacon Jr.; his son-in-law Robert Tebeau; and his granddaughter Ava Grace Tebeau.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization Robert supported faithfully.
