He was predeceased by: his parents, Herold Hawkins and Josephine Hawkins (Restaau); and his siblings, Marion Hawkins and Bob Campbell. He is survived by: his children, Rodney Hawkins (Mary) and Russell Hawkins (Kris); his siblings, Barbara Breen, Dottie Langenburg, Mary Bush and John Hawkins; his grandchildren, Christian, Derek, Andrew, Nikole and Mathew; and his great grandchild Bryce Campbell.
