He was predeceased by: his siblings, Leroy Michales and Marsha Meggison. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his stepchildren, Richard Hitchcock (Audi), Jeffrey A. Hitchcock, Lisa Botterill (Dave) and Diana Willingham; and his sister Frances Hill. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
A reception was held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Merkle Funeral Service (36885 Goddard Rd, Romulus, MI 48174). The lying in state was held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Community United Methodist Church (11160 Olive St, Romulus, MI 48174).
