He was predeceased by: his wife Myra Imperati; and his parents, Gino Imperati and Clarice Imperati. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Imperati (Karen) and Bethany Kesteloot (Paul); his grandchildren, Brandon Imperati, Kassidy Imperati, Hunter Imperati, Anthony Kesteloot and Annika Kesteloot; and his great grandchild Charli. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Michigan Memorial Funeral Home (30895 W Huron River Dr, Flat Rock, MI 48134). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Stephen Catholic Church (18858 Huron River Dr, New Boston, MI 48146).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gene's name to the Penrickton Center for the Blind, honoring his legacy of giving and compassion.
