He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Aittama and Erma Aittama (Langen); his wife Elaine J. Vermeulen; and his brothers, Paul and Gordon.
He is survived by: his children, Craig Aittama (Terry) of Plover, Wisconsin and Heidi Aittama-Kirchner (Mike) of Commerce, Michigan; his grandchildren, Kara Aittama (Cameron Small) of Wheatridge, Lindsay Aittama of Denver, William Aittama (Alissa), Dean Aittama, Hannah Mathews (Robert) and Laura Kirchner of Dallas Texas; his great grandchildren, Victoria, Alex and Maya; and his sisters, Edith Neiderer of Muckwanago and June Tervo of Brighton, Michigan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
