He was predeceased by: his father Paul Smitz. He is survived by: his mother Mary Smitz (Barlow); his wife Nancy (Street); his children, Derek Smitz (Kerri) and Becky Draper (Mike); his grandchildren, Grant, Dane, Avery, Emma and Cate; his siblings, Don Smitz, Paula Manzardo (Rick) and Mark Smitz; and his siblings-in-law, Robin Korona (Bill), Mary Street and Russel Street (Jeanine). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions to be made in David's name to Kiwanis Club of Linden Michigan or the Roscommon-St. Helen Little League.
