Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Eddie; her children, Janet Kay Gilman, Jerri Lynn Stieler and David Murphy; her granddaughter Taryn Murphy; and her sisters, Edwina La Chappelle and Barbara Benjamin.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Beth Armstrong (Robert) of Hickory Creek and Joseph Murphy (Michelle) of Midland, Michigan. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Joan's name to Roscommon County Community Foundation or St. Vincent de Paul Society of Roscommon.
