JoAnn Carlson Obituary
We announce the death of JoAnn Carlson of Roscommon, Michigan, who passed away on October 6, 2026, at the age of 73. JoAnn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cherveny and Geraldine Cherveny (Horsell); her brothers, John, Jerry and Jim; and her grandson Lee.
She is survived by: her husband Ken Carlson; her children, Joshua Carlson (Heather) of Waters, MI, Joslyn Sullivan (Michael) of Rockerville, SD and Justin Carlson of Roscommon, Michigan; her grandchildren, Seth Lamsa (Danielle) of Wolverine, Michigan, Janelle Madakadze (Tinashe) of Glendale, Arizona, Grant Sullivan (Sydney) of Black Hawk, SD, Everett Sullivan of Rockerville, SD, Calvin, Lincoln and Ella; and her great grandchildren, David and Forrest. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors (143 Lake St, Roscommon, MI 48653). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
If so desired, memorial contributions can be made towards an enduring memorial marker with some of JoAnn's favorite Bible verses engraved (JoAnn's special request).
