With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura A Jackson of Rose City, Michigan, who passed away on June 9, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alfred Carden Sr. and Mittie "Laura" Allison; her husband Howard Jackson; her children, Sarah Cooke (Christopher) and Charles Jackson (Melinda); her siblings, Cathleen Chidester, Sandra LaPorte, Alfred Carden Jr. and Margaret "Micki" Carden; and her grandchildren, Riley Pryor (Elijah), McKenna Cooke, Amelia Cooke, Lucy Cooke, Charlotte Cooke, Maverick Cooke, Hadassah Cooke, Addelene Jackson, Tanner Jackson, Ainslee Jackson and Tucker Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mio Baptist Church (357 M-33, Mio, MI 48647). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Although her journey with Alzheimer's was a challenging one, we refuse to let it tarnish our love for her or the abundance of precious memories we have of the kind, joyful, selfless, and fun-loving person she was before the disease took its toll.
