Vanas of Rosebush, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 20, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Vanas and Rose Vanas (Boyer); his wife Vivian J. Lefler; his daughter DeEtta Vanas; his sister Georgiana Pioszak; his brother-in-law Gordon Pioszak; his brother Arthur Vanas; and his siblings-in-law, Opal Vanas and Forrest Pesch.

He is survived by : his children, Darla Rippee (Ron) of Midland and Danny Vanas (Terry) of Rosebush; his grandchildren, Philip Vanas (Tracy), Patrick Vanas, Holle Vanas, Marty Rippee and Phaedra Rippee-Laughton; his great grandchildren, Austin Vanas, Cassidy Vanas, Alaina Vanas, Seth Deming, Mason Sprague, Madelyn Melvin and Richard Laughton; his great great grandchildren, Wesley, Colt, Gabriel, Peyton and Grayson; and his sister Charlotte Pesch of Texas.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Clark Family Funeral Chapel (114 S Bradley St, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
