He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Salchert and Rose Salchert (Galgoci); his siblings, Mike, Robert Salchert and Joanne Salchert; and his parents-in-law, Fred and Pauline Terwilliger.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Salchert of Rosebush; his children, Aaron Leonard (Jennifer) of Grand Rapids, Joseph Leonard (Tara Willey) of Shepherd and Jan Moncivaiz of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Eternity, Shawn, Tristan, Tavid and Victoria; his sibling's children, Janine Kredall (David) of Arizona, Mark Salchert (Betty) of Farwell, Nina Andrews (Dave) of Battle Creek, Meg Miller (Russ) of Farwell and Michael Salchert of Farwell; his brothers-in-law, Lyle Terwilliger (Vicki Boyles) of Alma and Tom Terwilliger of St. Louis; and his sibling's children, Jamie, Casey, Tommy, Scotty and Elijah. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
