He is survived by : his wife Susan Garrett; his children, Christie Baird (Eric), Daniel Garrett (Christina) and Adam Garrett (Cassie); his grandchildren, Devin, Olivia, Logan Payton, Hailey, Connor, Abbi and Billie; his great grandchildren, Jacari and Khy'len; his mother Ruby Garrett; his siblings, James Garrett (Mickey), Joan Morowiec (Gary) and Sandy Garrett; and his great grandchild Ruby GarrettMother.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kaul Funeral Home (27830 Gratiot Ave, Roseville, MI 48066). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark Lutheran Church (26830 W Park St, Roseville, MI 48066). The lying in state was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
