It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernarda Marra (Royal Oak, Michigan), who passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Bernarda departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Bernarda may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Bernarda leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Margherita Mele and Salvatore Iuliano; and her husband Giovanni Marra. She is survived by: her brother Domenico Iuliano; and her sons, Domenico (Maria), Rino (Kristina), Vasu and Rodgers.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) (32515 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48073). A rosary was held on Sunday, November 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Hugo of the Hills Stone Chapel (2215 Opdyke Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304-2218).
