It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carrie Proctor (Royal Oak, Michigan), who passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Carter and Ella Carter Jr. (Barbour); and her husband Edward A. Proctor Jr.. She is survived by: her sisters, Margaret Krygier and Elizabeth Dunne; her stepsiblings, Ginna Ondricek and Julia Batchev; and her children, Mollie Proctor, Linda Stewart (Bill), Jim Proctor (Annemarie), Vasu and Rodgers. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. James Episcopal Church (355 W Maple Rd, Birmingham, MI 48009).
