He is survived by: his children, Janet Halter of Royal Oak, Thomas Halter of Columbia, TN, Steve Halter of Royal Oak and Nancy Halter of Ferndale; his grandchildren, Scott Halter, Paul Halter, Jill Adelson (Jonathan), Timothy Halter, Jennifer Gaffney (Chris) and Julie Sparks (Jason); and his siblings, Lorene Sykes and Charles Halter.
